🔹 Organizers
Union of Parent & Guardian Associations of the Municipality of Thira in co-organization with:
– Municipality of Thira
– Citizens’ Association of Oia
🔹 Rules of Participation
Eligible to participate are students of all grades of primary and secondary education in Greece, Cyprus, and all other countries abroad. Participation is optional, and parental/guardian consent is required.
Students are invited to create one (01) and only one original artwork per participant, which will be submitted to the Evaluation Committee.
All artworks must be original, exclusively drawn by hand by the student without the use of a computer. Photographs or printed works of any kind are not accepted.
🔹 Project Submission Guidelines
Each project must include the following:
1.On the back of the project:
– The student’s full name.
2.Inside an envelope accompanying the project:
– Student Participation Form
– Declaration of Consent
– Date of Birth and Current Grade Level
– (Optional) Project Label

🔹 Methodology and Evaluation Criteria
Students are invited to paint freely (not necessarily representationally), imagining the Kore in the past, the present, or the future.
The works will be classified and evaluated by a artistic Evaluation Committee, based on the following six categories:
– Kindergarten
– Grades 1–3 (Primary School)
– Grades 4–6 (Primary School)
– Junior High School
– Senior High School
– Adult secondary education students
Evaluation Criteria:
– Relevance to the theme
– Creativity and originality
– Artistic quality
🔹 Prizes & Awards
The evaluation of the artworks will take place in January–February 2026.
Specifically, the first three distinguished works in each age category will be awarded, as determined by the vote of the Evaluation Committee.
The first prize winners in all 6 categories will be offered a 3-day free stay in Santorini for themselves and their companions (up to 3 people) during the award ceremony.
All participants will receive certificates of participation.
All participating schools will receive an Honorable Mention.
The award ceremony will take place in March - April 2026 in Santorini (exact date will announced later), organized by our institution and we will welcome all the participant students, their parents, school principals, responsible teachers. All participants will receive certificates of participation. Those unable to attend will receive their certificates electronically.
Original artworks will not be returned after the conclusion of the competition.
The organizers will not derive any financial profit from the submitted works. The artworks will be used solely for educational purposes or for exhibition in the context of presenting the distinguished works as well as some others.
Participation is free of charge.
🔹Materials/Technique
Choice of materials is free.
Each drawing sheet must be on art paper (e.g., watercolor, acrylic) with minimum dimensions of 20×30 cm and maximum 30x42 cm.
